Cooma noodle lovers will be pleased to know that franchise Favourite Noodle will open in Centennial Plaza within the next couple of weeks.
The plan to have a store in Cooma has been in the making for the past six months with Favourite Noodle currently operating 13 shops around the state. The takeaway will be next door to another new business the Peppermill Brassiere expected to open shortly.
Manager Nick Xu said it was an exciting time for the franchise with a product that he hoped Cooma residents would enjoy.
“We have an open kitchen so you can see where we are working and everything is fresh,” he said.
The franchise first started out in the NSW country town of Young and is a family run business.
The manager said it was hard to put into words how the concept had evolved.
“We just came up with it and it has grown over six years,” he said.
Mr Xu said he hoped being Cooma’s only specific take-away noodle outlet would be an advantage.
“It is quick and easy and the noodles are good,” he said.
Mr Xu’s Uncle Feng was hard at work preparing the kitchen yesterday while Stanely Huang will be the chef for the venture.
Mr Xu said traditionally satay chicken and garlic prawns were two of the most popular dishes on the menu.
