FIVE people escaped from a vehicle that veered off the Monaro Highway, rolled down an embankment and landed on its roof on Saturday afternoon.
The incident happened at 1.50pm about 75 metres north of Harry Willows Creek Bridge between Bredbo and Cooma.
The 74-year-old male driver was travelling south when he veered off the road and onto gravel. The man swerved back onto the road and lost control of the car.
All occupants were able to get out of the car before emergency crews arrived. Three passengers were airlifted to Canberra Hospital while the driver of the car and one passenger were transported to the same hospital by ambulance. The incident is under investigation.
