Hayleigh Davis crept past the U16 Girls Long Jump record by 1cm in her first jump on Thursday evening with a leap of 4.89m. The old record of 4.88m was held by Leanne Preo of Bega. Leanne became a member of our centre when the Bega club failed to form in 1990. Next week Hayleigh will be showing her form on the Track and in the Field events at the Pacific School Games in Canberra. Hayleigh will be skimming over the 200m Hurdles, 400m and Hammer Throw. Hayleigh U16 will be joined by two other talented athletes, Naomi and Tim Burgess. Naomi U17 in the 100m Hurdles and the 400m Hurdles plus the Hammer Throw. Tim is only competing in the Hammer Throw.

U16 Discus Hayleigh Davis threw 27.50m just 3m under the record. U16 Long Jump Tim Burgess jumped a PB jump of 4.96m. U8 Turbo Jav James Hayden threw 19.85m.
Age group report:
U6- the Girls 70m saw a close finish with Taylah Mauier 21.15s and Jess Lunt 21.19s. Boys Hugo Steiner 15.93s and Harrison Bateman 15.12s raced against some U7 boys. The 200m was the U6's longest run and most of the little Tigers ran out of puff. In the girls Taylah Mauier was the only one to manage less than 1 minute with 59.09s followed by Jess Lunt 1m16.33s and Imogen Bateman 1m18.47s. The boys saw three going under the 1min mark, with Hugo Steiner 54.38s, Jordan Davis 56.13s and Harrison Bateman 57.65s then came Ryan Harmer 1m10.55s.
Turbo Jav Jordan Davis 8.00m and Hugo Steiner 8.09m while Taylah Mauier 5.60m and Jess Lunt 5.07m in the girls.
U7 girls 70m saw Lani Wheatley with 14.72s win in a blanket finish over Sasha Allen 14.78s, Chelsea Lunt 15.03s and Jasmin Pascoe 16.20s. In the 100m Sasha Allen got 21.22s, Jasmin Pascoe 20.91s, Chelsea Lunt 21.38s and Lani Wheatley 20.31s.
Boys Javelin Damon Johnson threw 9.27m and Thomas Kain 7.92m. In the 70m Damon got 15.79s and 100m 20.22s. Thomas's times 70m - 17.40s and 100m - 22.47s.
U8 girls 70m Gabrielle Steiner 13.22s just piped Elana Bateman 13.28s in a close finish with Georgia Allen 14.13s close behind. Miranda McGufficke 15.49s and Jana Munclinger 15.71s. In the 200m Elana Bateman 46.60s and Georgia Allen 46.66s, Gabrielle Steiner 52.22s with Miranda McGufficke 54.81s and Jana Munclinger 64.38s. The 400m Walk Elana Bateman 3m 05.07s, Georgia Allen 3m05.77s and Jessica Povey 3m08.32s.
In the Turbo Jav, Jana Munclinger three 11.66m, Gabrielle Steiner 9.89m, Miranda McGufficke 9.56m, Jessica Povey 9.48m, Elana Bateman 8.69m and Georgia Allen 7.91m. In the boys 70m, Will Pendergast 12.87s and James Hayden 13.10s. In the 200m Will 42.14s and James 42.44s. And, again in the 400m Walk, Will edging out James by about 1/2 a metre. In the Turbo Jav, Will 10.19m was out classed by James 19.85m.
U 9/10 Long Jump Mikaylah Bateman 3.70m and Angus Allen 3.49m. High Jump- Jazmin Feley 1.05m followed by Jordan Louis, Angus Allen and Mikaylah Bateman all on 1m. Shot Put- Jordan Louis 6.75m, Angus Allen 5.63m, Jazmin Feley 5.59m and Zali Steiner 5.4m. Discus - Angus Allen 15.49 m and Jazmin Feley the girls 13.96m.
U11 Long Jump, Mitchell Wheatley jumped 3.07m. In the High Jump only 5cm separated all of the Jumpers, Rhienier and Tauran Berryman both cleared 0.95m with the other 2 jumpers just behind with 0.90m Matthijs de Ruijter and Mitchell Wheatley. Discus- Tauran Berryman 13.61m, Matthijs de Ruijter 13.36m and Mitchell Wheatley 12.39m.
U12/13 Kara Hynes 6.83m headed Renee Wortley 6.7m in the Shot Put by 12cm. U12 Long Jump Kara Hynes 3.50m, Natalie Corey 2.58m. Discus- Kara Hynes 16.33m and Natalie Corey 9.23m.
U14 boys Agustin Albertoni, Dean Byrne and Toney Corey make up this small band of u14 boys. In the Discus, Dean's 17.23m just shaded Agustin's 16.97m with Tony a short distance away with 13.14m.
Shot was a similar story with Dean throwing 7.22m and Agustin 5.55m and Toney 4.44m. Agustin's 3.66m leap and Tony's 3.26m in the Long Jump both picking up good points in the overall point score for Age Champion.
