Louisa - very busy young musician

Louisa Wall is 16-years-old and is in year 11 at Monaro High. She has been playing music since she was nine, playing piano and clarinet. She has just completed her 6th grade AMEB exam on piano. Her teacher is Marie Cox.

Last Saturday, Louisa performed in concert with John Sutton and Glenyss Allen at St Paul's Anglican Parish Hall, Cooma. Louisa played four pieces, "Sonata in E Minor" by Haydn, "Poco Maestoso" by Heller, "Feelin' Good" by Brian Bonsor, and "Nocturne" by Grieg. She played beautifully.

John Sutton, a wonderful flute player, was visiting from Melbourne where he is currently studying a Bachelor of Music at Monash University. John was born and bred in Adaminaby so it was a great occasion to catch up with family and friends. An audience of over 70 also appreciated the exquisite music performed by these local musicians.

Louisa has had a very busy musical life this year. She plays clarinet in the Cooma District Band, and the band just had a major role in the "Together to Remember" concert on Remembrance Day at the Cooma Ex-Services Club. The Cooma District Band also performed in three Oktoberfest events recently.

Louisa's other activities include basketball and dancing. In the future she would love a career in the dramatic arts.
