Winnerof the Cooma Ex-Services Club 20th Sundowners Cup was Mugga Lane, a horse named after his birthplace. He is held by trainer Aaron Clarke of Braidwood and owners and breeders Tina and Gil O'Leary of Canberra.

Ben Hearn brought his family to the races for a picnic, wife Michelle and daughters Molly and Bronte who liked watching the horses run.

Enjoying Race Day were members of the Rray family, Annelies, Lauren and Cathy with Luaun Edwards and Ryan Topper.

Georgie Clarke and Deanne Baines joined their friends Brendon Stanford and Nat Jennings to enjoy the race day.

This creative millinery, worn by Bree Sears and Sue Bottom was voted the most stylish.

Runners up for the best dressed couple were Rosheen Nikora and Edwin Kraft of Jindabyne pictured with Margaret Venables, one of the judges.
They came, they saw, they punted, they competed, they drank a little, and they had a fine old time at the Cooma Races - and it might have been overcast and a bit breezy but that didn't stop a large percentage of Cooma's population enjoying the day.
