The Cooma Car Club presented Snowy Hydro SouthCare Rescue helicopter CEO Owen Finnegan with a cheque for $2000 on Friday.
Cooma Car Club president Michael Manthey, said the club raised the money at its Summit to Surf rally about a month ago.
"There were about 75 cars in the rally which came from all over Australia," Mr Manthey said.
"We donated a similar amount last year. We usually give to local charities, but we consider Snowy Hydro SouthCare helicopter local because they are always down here."
Mr Finnegan said 10 per cent of the SouthCare rescue helicopter's flights are in the Monaro and Snowy Mountains region.
"It costs $6 million a year to keep it in the air," Mr Finnegan said.
"An hour of flying time with all the crew costs $2,500, which is a trip to Cooma."
