Last Saturday's shooting was postponed to Tuesday so that competitors could take part in the afternoon with light on the target.

However, the holidays meant that few members could attend, but four members turned up, including Frank Toth, previously absent due to a long period of ill health.

The afternoon was hot and windy with a northwester blowing straight up the range but fish-tailing and varying in strength.

It proved to be a problem for all shooters.

The results from 300 yards were Damien Doyle 93-4, Frank Toth 92-5 and Noel Barrett 44-2 (single stage only). With handicaps Frank was well ahead.

On Saturday morning shooting will be from 400 yards.
