Cooma Challenge has taken possession of a generous gift.
The Flash Cab is a passenger vehicle which has been converted to be wheelchair accessible and it will be of great value to Challenge to provide support to people with a disability and frail older people across the region.
It is a gift to the organisation from the estate of the late Vel Montague. Vel was a long-time resident of Cooma who passed away in December.
Vel's husband Keith explained that giving the specialised vehicle to Challenge is just what Vel would have wanted. Since the middle of 2009 Vel herself utilised the services of Cooma Challenge's Community Access and Day Program but she was also a great supporter of the organisation for many years.
Cooma Challenge Limited is very grateful for the gift and wishes to acknowledge the estate of the late Vel Montague.
