Jack Williams and Thomas Cronan have gained representative honours being selected in the Canberra Raiders SG Ball Squad.
The pair, both Cooma Colts juniors, are part of the 26 player squad.
They are continuing their representative honours with the Raiders having played in the Harold Matthews squad last year.
Although their side has won just one of their four games this season in SG Ball Cup competition, Williams, who plays centre, back row or on the wing, said it had been a good experience so far.
The squad is a big commitment, with the pair having the travel to Canberra three times a week for training after school and playing on the weekend.
But they both take it in their stride.
Both agreed training was tough at times but had helped them improve their fitness and skills.
At 16-years-old they are the youngest players in the under 18s squad.
They said they had felt some pressure being younger players in the side and to make the starting team, but had managed to start each week.
Their goal for the year is to make the starting side each week, and in the long term they hope to one day play in the National Rugby League.
When the SG Ball Cup competition ends in April Cronan, who plays on the wing of at fullback, and Williams will play with the Cooma Stallions.
