On Wednesday March 6 a good field played a 9 hole stableford. The winner was Gillian Petersohn with 17 points. Runner up was Maureen Fletcher on a count back from Midge Theron, and Clare Nowland all three having 15 points.
Balls went to Midge, Clare and Joan Bracher who had 14 points. The last ball went to Yvonne Barnes who was Nearest The Pin on the 4th green.
On Saturday March 9 the 9 hole stableford competition was won by Val Leitch with 16 points. The second round of the ladies 54 hole championships was won by Dulcie Thistleton with a fine 70 net. Balls were won by Gillian Petersohn 72 net, Gaye Wilson 73 net and the putting ball was won by Marilynne Weston.
Gaye Wilson led the way in the championships with a 91 gross score last week and another 91 gross on Saturday.
On Sunday March 10 the third and final round of the ladies championships was played in rather warm humid conditions but this didn't seem to affect the players who came in with some good scores. The winner of the days competition was Lorraine McGregor with a net 70. Runner up was Jenny Rainsford with 73 net on a count back from Gaye Wilson and Dorothy Bilbow. A ball went to Gaye and Marion Burke received the putting ball. Results of the 54 hole championship are as follows: congratulations go to Gaye Wilson who played consistently well in the three rounds and is our 2013 Ladies "A" Grade Champion with a great gross score for the three rounds of 273. "A" Grade runner up was Lorraine McGregor with a gross score of 284. Lorraine also won the Nell Horsfall Trophy with 215 net over the three rounds. "B" grade champion was Dorothy Bilbow with a gross score of 305 and "B" grade champion runner up was Jenny Rainsford who stormed home in the last round to have a 344 gross.
