Jerangle hits new heights

Jerangle Public School Swimming relay team made a big splash in the pool last month at their swimming carnival in Cooma and qualified for the Regional Swimming Carnival.

The small school of 17 students were keen to see their classmates Ella, Maggie, Matilda and Wynn swim at Dapto at the same time creating history in the school's swimming records.

"The school has never had students represent Jerangle at a regional level," schoo Principal Sonja Thorvaldson said.

This gave extra excitement to the team when they came second at Regionals to then qualify for the NSW State Carnival.

Parents and team members were over the moon and can't believe the team has stepped up to the next level. All the team members now have an added incentive at weekly training to improve their speed in the water. Jerangle students wish every team member all the best for their race in early April in Sydney. Good luck Jerangle!
