They are called the Pink Ladies - a group of dedicated volunteer carers who help meet the needs of patients at Cooma Hospital.
It may be getting newspapers, attending to flowers, reading to them or writing letters, making phone calls for them, obtaining prescriptions. Even helping with washing at home.
They do it five days a week, and have been helping out in this way for a long time.
Three of them - Stella Reid, Heather Little and Margaret Power - have been doing it for 20 years.
On Friday their efforts, along with that of their Pink Lady colleagues, was recognised at a special morning tea at the Hospital attended by former Pink Ladies, and hospital staff.
It was to say "thank you" for their extraordinary dedication to the welfare of others.
