Forget the Big Mac or the giant whopper or whatever, visitors to McDonalds in Cooma on Wednesday would be forgiven for doing a quick double-take when they arrived in the carpark.
They were confronted with a giant 'skyboard' that was just too big to ignore which was spruiking the benefits, virtues and economic contribution of small business.
The visit of the skyboard was organised by the NSW Business Chamber and welcomed to town by the Cooma Chamber of Commerce and designed to have an impact in the election campaign.
Gary Ryan, representing the NSW Business Chamber, said small businesses were sick and tired of being overlooked and forgotten by all levels of government.
He said the wider community recognised that a strong local economy was dependent on strong local businesses.
"We've been campaigning that small businesses is simply too big to ignore. It's now time for the community to show our politicians that this statement is true by turning out to support the campaign's mobile skyboard as it tours the region," he said.
