Hazeldean principal Jim Litchfield said he was very pleased with the sale last week.
"Although well back on last year's average price, in view of the reports on the general run of sales this spring, we thought if we could get a good clearance and average around $5,000 it would be a very good outcome," Mr Litchfield said.
"So the fact that we achieved that made us very happy.
"A lot of the bulls went to local buyers which was pleasing.
Mr Litchfield said bulls also went further afield with two going to Tasmania and two to Queensland.
"We also sold a number of bulls to Victoria and the Central Tablelands of NSW.
