THE kind-hearted Lions members have again lent a helping hand to residents in the community.
Last week they erected two seat benches near Yallambee Lodge in Cooma North. The benches, supplied by Cooma-Monaro Shire Council, were placed for the comfort of residents. One was installed at the front of the lodge as a place for the residents to rest as they wait for a taxi or to be picked up.
Another was placed halfway along the footpath to the Cooma North Shops, which the Lions also built.
Members involved in the project were Mick Mayhew, John Browne, John Britton while Ken Hanna and Bob Nichols helped with the concrete.
The Lions also constructed a 20 metre long footpath in the lodge connecting one of the houses to other footpaths making for easier access.
