The Lady Tigers came off second best in their State League 2 Grand Final against minor premiers ADFA on Sunday going down 5-0.
it was always going to be a tough task for the Cooma side having played ADFA on two occasions throughout the year losing once 3-1 and having a one all draw in the other game. Despite the margin, the Lady Tigers put in a hard fought effort and were unlucky not to capitalise on a number of scoring opportunities in the first half. ADFA got the scoring started early in the piece. The Cooma side held the majority of possession for the rest of the half and had a number of chances at goal with penalties close to the goals. ADFA had to scramble on a number of occasions. Unfortunately for the Cooma side, ADFA were dangerous as soon as they got out of their own half and capitalised, leading 3-0 at half time. The Cooma side continued to fight hard in the second half, searching for that elusive goal. However, ADFA proved too strong scoring another two times to be crowned 2013 premiers.
