A Cooma truck driver remains in hospital after rolling his log truck on the Snowy Mountains Highway nine days ago.
The 51-year-old Cooma truck driver has undergone surgery for his injuries at the Canberra Hospital.
The driver sustained serious lacerations to his head and legs after his unladen log truck rolled over on the Snowy Mountains Highway near Kiandra on Friday September 20, at 6.30am.
The driver was helped by passersby who drove him towards Adaminaby where he was met by Cooma and Adaminaby police and Road and Maritime Services (RMS).
The man was then airlifted from the Adaminaby airport to Canberra Hospital by Snowy Hydro SouthCare Rescue helicopter after being treated by Cooma paramedics.
There was ice and slushy snow on the road at the time of the single vehicle accident.
