We may be one month into spring but that doesn't mean much where the weather is concerned on the Monaro.
On Thursday morning, residents near Adaminaby awoke to find a light dusting of snow had fallen overnight.
On the ski fields, Perisher recorded snowfall of 10cm just in time for skiers to get in a last ride before the official end of the ski season.
In Cooma, brisk south south westerly winds blew the cold air off the mountains and temperatures in the low teens saw the wintry weather return on Thursday before the sun came out in the afternoon.
It comes off the back of one of the warmest September months in Cooma on record.
The average temperature was 18.4 degrees celcius, two degrees above the long term monthly average.
It was the warmest since 1987.
September also saw decent rainfall in Cooma with 42.8mm. It was the highest monthly September rainfall in eight years.
Warm weather is set to return this week, with temperatures expected to reach the mid twenties on Wednesday and Thursday.
