Stephanie Sheppard was 'best in show' and this year's winner of the Briscoe Memorial Award which is the Monaro's most prestigious art prize. It is sponsored by the Briscoe family in memory of their father, a prominent Monaro artist.
The competition attracts a large number of high quality entries and this year the awards ceremony also included the exhibition opening, with the honours performed by the chair of the council's Arts Committee, Cr Craig Mitchell.
