EACH Mature Mob passenger received a silk floral bloom as they boarded the coach from Cooma to Floriade on Thursday. Jackie Fox presented a wonderful commentary for the journey Cooma-Canberra, using as her guide The Road South by Cooma author, Ruth McFadden. Passengers also appreciated an informative commentary on the Anzac Parade Memorials. Then folk delighted in the absolute beauty of tulips, pansies and poppies at Floriade.
After a drive to the top of Mt Ainslie to view the 'Garden of Canberra', the Mob visited the Cohen Family (formerly of Cooma) at their current residence, the Anglican Bishop's House in Campbell.
Rev Paul Cohen is now Rector, Kaleen-Giralang Parish. He and his family welcomed Mature Mob over afternoon tea and shared with them their experiences since leaving the Cooma Parish in May this year.
Another great day of fun, fellowship and education. The next Mature Mob outing is a Mystery Tour on Thursday December 5.
