Rotary helps typhoon victims

Profits for the Cooma Rotary club's barbecue at the recent Maffra clearing sale will go to help victims of the super typhoon Haiyan in the Phillipines.

The day's profits, tallied by Rotary treasurer Marco Revelant, came in at $2,500.

Mr Relevant said the money which includes some donations, will go to communities devastated by the recent super typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

"The money will go towards 'Shelter Boxes' which provide temporary housing and living items for the victims left homeless," Mr Relevant said.
