Lake Eucumbene search focus for missing ACT man

Police in the State’s south-east have moved their focus to Lake Eucumbene as they continue searching for a man last seen a week ago.

Robert Lockwood, 60, from the ACT, was seen at a fishing shop at Cooma on Sunday, December 8, 2013, when he said he was heading to Tantangara Dam in the Snowy Mountains.

Mr Lockwood was reported missing to police from Monaro Local Area Command on Friday, and a search of that area was conducted by local police, volunteers and POLAIR without success.

The search resumed Saturday morning, this time in the Lake Eucumbene area, again involving local police, volunteers and POLAIR.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen Mr Lockwood, who is described as being of Caucasian appearance, with greying hair and a beard, or his car, a grey 2007-model Holden Commodore station wagon with ACT registration YDU-59X, to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information about this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page: https://www.police.nsw.gov.au/
