Wool growers got the inside story on wether trials and heard about profitable Merino breeding at Hazeldean's annual wool growers' breakfast and elite short wool ram sale on February 20.

The elite short wool ram sale followed the breakfast with 25 rams sold to an average of $1,744 and a total of $43,600.
Two rams topped the sale at $2,400 each, going to Rob and Ian Willson, Nardoo Pastoral Co. Tarago and Shaun Beasley from Lindenow South, Victoria.
The elite ram sale was followed by private selections at $1,000 and $800 grade rams.
