HIGH Country Automotive Group (HCAG) has scooped three prestigious awards, including one to employee Jason Kilpatrick for being one of the best sales managers in the region.
Mr Kilpatrick, Hyundai and Subaru sales manager at HCAG, was the regional winner of Hyundai's 2013 sales manager of the year award announced last week in Sydney.
He was up against about 30 other sales managers across the region for the award.
Having been a sales manager for just 18 months Mr Kilpatrick said he was very surprised to receive the award.
"I had no idea," he said.
"It goes off your achievements throughout the year, sales targets, customer service index and online training."
Mr Kilpatrick started with HCAG seven years ago as a mechanic, before being offered a position as a sales consultant and became a sales manager 18 months ago.
His employer Steve Ganitis, part owner of HCAG, said to win the award was a great achievement.
"The whole team is proud. It is such a prestigious award to win for a small rural dealership, out of a group of 35 dealers to win such an award. It's good to get the recognition from the manufacturer," he said.
HCAG has also won two other manufacturer awards recently for being a top performing dealership.
They were the Subaru 2013 Category C leader and won the prestigious Toyota Silver Knight award (the dealership has won the Bronze Knight award for the past three years).
