WHEN Margaret Denley found out she had been awarded a Rotary Club Pride of Workmanship award she only had one response.
The award recognises people who work and display an outstanding quality of dedication, attitude and commitment to service.
Margaret has been working at the Cooma Reject Shop since it opened in June 2012.
Her roles at work include training new staff, working the register, unpacking and restocking.
Recently Margaret has become a team leader which means she is handling more responsibilities as well as opening and closing the store.
"It's a challenge and I'll give it my best shot," Margaret said.
Karen Thompson, Cooma Reject Shop store manager, said Margaret is willing to help and go the extra distance.
"She goes out of her way to find the answer where as most people will just say I don't know and move on," Karen said.
Karen nominated Margaret for her enthusiasm, cheerfulness and her genuine care for customers and fellow staff.
"The job gets done with Margaret," Karen said.
"She just puts her head down and does the job."
Margaret works at the Reject Shop most afternoons as well as working a second job in aged care.
"I just love meeting people and helping people," Margaret said.
Margaret was one of four local recipients of the 2014 Rotary Club Pride of Workmanship awards.
