A SIGNIFICANT number of students from local schools gathered early in the morning to participate in the Anzac march on Friday.

Students marched down Sharp and Vale Streets to the cenotaph where they gathered together to pay their respects.

Student representatives from Snowy Mountain Christian School and St Patrick's Parish spoke at the morning service.

The John Holden Memorial Trophy was awarded to the winner of the Australia My Country Competition, Ivy McGufficke.
