Cooma gets pinked out for one Classic event

LOCAL shops in Cooma, Berridale and Jindabyne have been showing their support for the Mother's Day Classic Run this Sunday.

Shop owners decorate their window fronts to help raise awareness of the special event being held at Clay Pits, Lake Jindabyne.

The event is one of 80 regional events organised by the local commitee to ensure that the day will be one full of remembrance, fun, friendship and family connections.

The day will begin at 9am with markets and food stalls, jumping castle, entertainment and much more for the whole family.

The 5km Run will start at 10.30am followed by the 3km walk at 11am.

Warm ups before each event will be at the stage area.

Families, friends, colleagues and students are all welcome to come down and wear an abundance of pink to get into the spirit of the day.

Participants are also encouraged to wear tribute cards for loved ones who have been lost to or are currently fighting breast cancer.

The fun atmosphere is also an opportunity to celebrate the life of survivors and enjoy a healthy walk or run on Mother's Day.

Register on the day or visit www.mothersdayclassic.com.au to support this great cause.
