IF you have been to Jade Palace recently you may have noticed some new friendly faces serving you.
They are Suki and Bobby Li, and their staff, who have recently taken over the Chinese restaurant on Bombala Street.
The couple moved to Cooma two months ago with their three sons from North Queensland after buying the business from their close friends Abby and Mike Lim.
Suki and Bobby have years of experience in the hospitality industry, running a Chinese restaurant in North Queensland for the last 10 years, and take pride in their food and customer service.
"We have been in Cooma for about two months to get ready and get to know some of the customers," Suki said.
They are looking forward to meeting old and new customers, and serving up some new items on the menu.
"There is a new menu, some crispy and seasoning dishes, there is no MSG and we use all healthy ingredients," Suki said.
"We can't put everything on the menu, but people are welcome to ask if we can make a certain type of dish and we can make it for them."
Suki said she is also hoping to have a buffet in the future so customers can enjoy a wide variety of dishes at once.
To celebrate, Jade Palace is having a special with a $8.50 lunch time special and 5 per cent off all main meals.
There is also free home delivery for orders over $30.
