THERE was a big bash in Numeralla on Tuesday as school students welcomed more than 250 characters travelling through town as part of the annual Variety Bash.
Students received goodie bags from bumblebees, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Lego men and lady beetles, to name just a few.
The visit was part of the 23rd Variety AHA Bash which raised $4,000 for new outdoor play equipment for the school.
Variety, the Children's Charity, is a national non-for-profit organisation that is committed to empowering Australian children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs to gain mobility, independence and self-esteem.
By giving practical equipment, programs and experiences, Variety are able to help kids be kids.
Numeralla Public School was just one pit stop in the 2,472km motoring charity adventure across regional NSW as characters continued the drive, donating much needed equipment to schools.
The Variety Bash will continue their adventure to Newcastle this weekend in time for the Bash Black Tie Gala Presentation Night on Sunday.
