Cooma police investigating aggravated break and enter

Police are appealing for information following an aggravated break and enter in Cooma on Wednesday.

About 8.30pm (Wednesday 21 May 2014), a 22-year-old man answered a knock at the door of a home on North Street when he was met by a man armed with a gun, who demanded entry to the home.

The armed man attempted to enter the premises and threatened the man and a 29-year-old woman also in the home.

A struggle ensued between the trio when the armed man lost control of the firearm.

He fled the scene and police were called. The pair suffered minor injuries.

Officers attached to Monaro Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

As their investigations continue, they would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them with their inquiries.

He is described as being about 175cm tall, of thin build, with an olive complexion, a prominent nose, and has a shaved head.

The man was seen wearing dark pants and a dark grey hooded jacket.
