THE Monaro Equestrian Association (MEA) held an informal training day at the Cooma Pony Club grounds last Sunday, May 25.
The near perfect autumn weather coaxed about 15 riders to come along and enjoy the opportunity to school their horses over a course of jumps.
The course was progressively raised over the day, allowing riders to choose the height that suited their horse's ability. Local showjumper, John Flower stepped in as instructor for those who wanted to benefit from some coaching. Morning tea and lunch were enjoyed by all at the clubhouse.
Tanya Pointer who helped organise the event said that due to the success of this day, she would like to have showjump training days through the winter months. Anyone interested in participating can contact Tanya firstname.lastname@example.org. More photos online at www.coomaexpress.com.au
