COOMA Rotary Club celebrated their annual changeover dinner on Wednesday, June 25, with outgoing President Margaret Hassall welcoming President elect Peter Davis into the role.
A large crowd were on hand at the Cooma Bowling Club for the special evening, as guests welcomed in the new board for the coming financial year.
The Rotary Club made a substantial donation to the Monaro Early Intervention Service on the night, to assist the MEIS in establishing their new occupational therapy and speech pathology rooms.
Outgoing President Ms Hassall says the last year has seen Rotary help facilitate many projects within Cooma.
"Rotary donated money for 10 seats along Sharp St as a thank you to the people of Cooma," Ms Hassall said.
"We wanted to show our appreciation for the support the community provide us."
Around 60 people were in attendance at the annual changeover dinner to witness Ms Hassall hand the Rotary reins over to Peter Davis.
Through the course of the evening, Rotarians welcomed new members into the club and witnessed other members take up their roles on the newly elected board.
"Neil Brown was welcomed as the Incoming Club Service Director and Helen Caldwell was inducted as a new member."
Attending the dinner was former District Governor of Rotary, Noel Trevaskis.
