Lilibet wins best in show

THE Monaro Art Group are currently holding their Winter Art Exhibition in the Little Gallery in the Hain Centre, Cooma.

The gallery is filled with many beautiful artworks that display true local talent with a range of colours and textures.

Many attended on Friday to help celebrate the opening of the exhibition as well as the announcement of winning artists.

The artworks were judged by guest Brad Spalding who unfortunately could not attend the opening, however vice president of the art group Greg Williams did a fantastic job.

The best in show award was awarded to well-deserved Lilibet Stephens for her artwork 'Banksias'.

Other winners were:

Landscape winner: Kerry Wooden for her artwork 'Beachside'.

Acrylic and oil winner: Ruth Brooke for her artwork 'Street Scene'.

Drawing winner: Bob Schaefer for his artwork 'The Underpass'.

Mixed medium winner: Sue Edmonson for her artwork 'My Breakfast.

The exhibition is a great opportunity for locals to witness true local talent of artists in the Snowy Mountains.
