FATHER Paul Huthnance has been farewelled by the staff and students of St Patrick's Parish School with a ceremony at St Patrick's Catholic Church in Cooma, last Friday.

St Patrick's Cooma Parish Priest, Father Paul, is leaving the church after six years of ministry.

A large gathering from St Patrick's School were present to say their goodbyes to Father Paul.

The service was held in Father Paul's honour, to pay tribute to the work he has done within Cooma.

The school captains ran the service, leading the school in song as they entertained their guest of honour.

Principal Frances Robertson addressed the service, making mention of the enduring contributions Father Paul has made to the school.

A group of students presented him with a handmade banner which displayed the words, 'Farewell Fr Paul.'

Father Paul led the service in the prayer, and thanked the school for being an important of his life.

On Sunday he held his final mass which was proceeded with a morning tea, where the parish thanked Father Paul for his involvement within the community.
