1. First Friday Drinks
Local music artist Michael Horneman will launch his debut single at the Cooma Hotel on Friday night. Head along to the Cooma Hotel between 5.30pm to 7.30pm to listen. While there you can also make some new contacts at First Friday Drinks hosted by the Snowy Mountains Professional Network.
2. Sydney Comedy Festival Showcase
If you want a night of laughs head along to the Sydney Comedy Festival Showcase at the Cooma Little Theatre on Sunday night at 7pm. Some of the funniest comedians in the Sydney Comedy Festival will be heading to Cooma as part of the showcase tour. Tickets are $30 per person.
3. Catch some local sport
It's almost finals time for local sporting clubs the Cooma Cats AFL team and the Cooma Tigers soccer club so head along and support them at home this weekend. The Cats take on Gungahlin at Snowy Oval on Saturday around midday. The Cooma Tigers division 5 men take on Gungahlin United at Nijong Oval with kick off at 3pm. On Sunday catch the premier league Tigers teams battle it out with Woden Valley at Nijong Oval. Action starts at 11am with the main game at 3pm.
4. To market, to market
The Crackenback Cottage Markets are on again this weekend. Pick up some fresh produce, handmade jewellery or just have a browse. They run from 9am to 1pm at Crackenback.
5. Hunt for truffles
Take part in a hunt for truffles on Saturday. You don't have to venture far, with a hunt happening at Macenmist Truffle Farm in Bredbo. Find out all about these delicacies and if you lucky you might just hit the jackpot and find one. For more information head to www.macenmist.com.au
