A SOCCER extravaganza is set for Cooma this weekend as the Cooma Tigers Soccer Club head into their final home games of the regular season chasing minor premierships and finals positions across the grades.
In arguably one of the most successful seasons in the club's history, the Tigers' quest for National Premier League (NPL) bragging rights go on the line this Sunday at Nijong Oval against Belconnen.
The NPL match will decide who finishes the season as minor premiers with the Tigers currently first on the ladder.
They are on 34 points, one win ahead of Belconnen who sit in second place on 32 points.
A Tiger's win would ensure their place as minor premiers and take much needed winning momentum into the finals campaign.
A 2-2 draw last week to the Football Federation of Australia Centre of Excellence side looked as if it might cost the Tigers the minor premiership, however Belconnen registered a stalemate in their corresponding fixture.
The premier league game will commence from 3pm and is expected to draw a strong crowd, eager to see the Tigers claim their first piece of silverware for the season.
The Tiger's Under 20 side head into the penultimate round chasing second spot on the NPL ladder. They are up against ladder leaders Belconnen who sit one victory ahead of the field.
The home side will need to rectify a 6-3 loss to Canberra FC in their recent mid-week encounter.
Cooma is firmly entrenched in the top four and need a win to keep their top two aspirations alive.
The match will kick off from 1pm at Nijong Oval.
Another cracking game is in store in the NPL Under 18 competition where Cooma take on Belconnen. Both sides are locked in a battle for second on the ladder. This match will commence at 11am.
The Cooma Tigers women's side has been in sensational form this season in their division two competition having already wrapped up the minor premiership with two games to play.
This weekend they are away to Majura and enter the clash 10 points in front of second place.
The women's side has scored a staggering 61 goals in their 15 outings.
All soccer fans are encouraged to head along to Nijong Oval this Sunday for a blockbuster day of action.
