Monaro Panel Beaters Under 9's - Belconnen Carnival
The Colts travelled to Melba to take part in the Belconnen under 9's end of season carnival. The Colts have only lost three games all winter and they were early in the season. They have been undefeated since and it was going to be interesting seeing where they stood against their opposition. They have been the smallest side all season and the carnival was to be the same with all sides out gunning them for size but what they gave up in size they made up for in heart. Their first win was against Woden 20-12, their second win being a tough game against the much fancied North Canberra Buffaloes 10-6 and their third win 32-0 against Tuggeranong. Undefeated they moved through to the finals to take on Goulburn.
The early part of the game saw Goulburn ahead by two tries and they were looking strong. Credit to the team, they fought back hard taking out the game 28-16 putting them in the Grand Final against the Belconnen Sharks who also made it through undefeated. Again the opposition took the early lead and held it until half time, the Colts then fought hard to take the lead 16-14. The team was looking good but a stripped ball saw the opposition take possession in the final two minutes allowing them to score before the bell snatching the Grand Final 20-16.
Super Coach Mouldy would have been proud of his team unfortunately missing a great achievement from the Cooma Colts. Try scorers were Louie Mould(3), Justin McDonald(5), Jordi Williams (3), Cooper Inskip (1), Cameron Filtness (2) (filling in from the under 8's), Maison Turner (2), Shane Williams (3) and Jack McPherson (1). Goal scorers were Justin McDonald, Cooper Inkip, Cameron Filtness, Maison Turner, Jordi Williams, Louie Mould, Max Tomkins, Jack Kleven and Tobi Inskip. Congratulations to all players who should be looking forward to a successful 2015 season.
Sportspower Cooma Colts Under 10's - Semi Final

Michael Day unstoppable, crashing over for a try. Tirone Morgan followed closely behind, stepping up with a big game. Lachlan Hemphill and James Bannon tackled themselves to a standstill, and James bagging a try, while Alex Aitkenhead and Jonah Perea made some important tackles out wide, Jonah had also scored a try and kicked a goal.
Kayla Fleming made strong surges through the middle, and Talon Kelly and Kristian Zusak made long runs out wider, Kristian scoring two tries as well as kicking a goal, Talon making good cover tackles. Marcus Riley gets involved as much as he can, gaining confidence in his runs. Flynn Palmer and Cody Clarke rotated at dummy half, both providing good service for the first receivers. Barrett Bannon, Jake Maddrell and Doron Morgan came on in the second and also made some good runs through the middle.

Highland Ground Spreading under 11's - Semi Final
Highland Ground Spreading under 11's made it to the minor semi-final on Sunday coming up against the Valley Dragons Silver in Canberra at Northbourne Oval. It was a beautiful sunny morning with tension in the air as the coach took the team to warm up. The crowd was huge with standing room only; reality struck 'yes we have made it to the footy'.
The warm up was over and they now had to run onto the field and face the Dragons head on. The crowd fell silent as they shook hands and listened to the referee's instructions. Then they all moved to their battle positions with Clinton Filtness drawing the first blow with the kick off, followed closely with James Dyball scoring in the far corner, the silent crowed erupted like a volcano screaming words of support for the Colts following Clinton Filtness conversion. The Dragons were quick to respond hitting back with a converted try. This made the game six all, but that didn't stop the Colts from firing back with James Dyball scoring again with Colby McDonald converting the goal.
The Dragons found there fast gear going over again and again before half time making the score Dragon's 24, Colts 12. The coach brought the boy's together and gave them a piece of his wisdom with a gentle nudge in the right direction. The team took the advice on the chin and ran back on the field ready for the second half with fire burning in there belly's.
The Dragons kicked off and the game continued with hard running and solid defence from both teams. The Colts had good defence from James Dyball, Daniel Watts, Arthur Bottom, Clinton Filtness, Jesse Eljuga, Hudson Laird, Campbell Wenbam and William Lehrmann. Cooma produced some outstanding hit ups from Jayden Donald, Colby McDonald, Darcy Clark, Travis Kelly and Ronan Bradley. The Colt's scored in the last few minutes with Jesse Eljuga going over with the goal conversion by James Dyball. The final score was Dragon's 48 Cooma 18. Well done boys for an outstanding year and a big thank you to everyone that done anything throughout the season.
