A TEAM from Cooma has raised more than $8,500 for Motor Neurone Disease (MND). The team raised the money as part of the 2014 City2Surf. They would sincerely like to thank everyone including the local community for supporting them in raising just over $8,500 for Motor Neurone Disease. This is an amazing result and is far beyond the teams expectations exceeding last years funds raised by $5,000. Thank you to everyone who generously donated, purchased raffle tickets and supported our market stall. Your support will improve the lives and support people currently living with MND and fund the best research with the greatest chance of increasing our understanding of MND, and moving us closer to finding an effective treatment and cure for the disease.
They extended a big thank you to Steve and Pha from Pha's Thai Kitchen who donated first prize of $150 gift voucher and Laine Swain from Indi Hair donating second prize of $130 gift voucher. Helen Woodhouse won first prize, Mark and Bronnie Kenmir second prize, Chris Stephens third prize and Philip Jamieson fourth prize. Congratulations also to Rory Wadwell who won the Wood Raffle and to Sheri Evans who was the lucky winner of our 100 Club at our Market Stall in July.
