Cavaliers 25th reunion a cracking success

More than 100 players, past and present, took part in the 25th reunion of Coffey's Cavaliers Cricket Club held over the weekend.

Beautiful weather accommodated the players who had travelled from as far as Townsville, King Island, Parkes, Newcastle, Wagga and Canberra.

More than 100 people attended the main function on Saturday night under a big marquee in the garden at Coffey's Hotel.

Some of the players had a social game of bowls during the day.

Guest speaker Doug Timmins from the Parramatta Cricket Club entertained the crowd with some wonderful stories including facing a very quick pair of bowlers when playing grade cricket one day. The bowlers then, not that well known, were Jeff Thompson and Ken Pascoe. The committee were very happy with the whole weekend and thanked past players for their efforts.
